Latisha Forster ScottHi, I’m Latisha! I’m here to help you be the best YOU!
My Story
For over three decades, Latisha Forster Scott, PhD, has been helping people move — not just their bodies, but their mindset, their habits, and their lives. As the founder of Fusion Fit and Well, LLC, she blends the science of health and wellness with the art of motivation, meeting every client where they are, and guiding them toward where they want to be.
Her approach is simple but powerful: fitness should be joyful, intentional, and inclusive. Whether she’s leading a high-energy Zumba® session, coaching a small group through a six-week transformation challenge, or delivering a talk on the psychology of sport, Dr. Latisha Forster Scott’s mission is the same — to help people unlock their potential, build mental toughness, and live with vitality.
A lifelong educator, she has taught university courses in health, fitness, sport sociology, exercise and sport psychology, gender issues in sport, and motor learning. She’s a published scholar, a sought-after conference speaker, and a passionate advocate for eliminating health disparities, particularly in African American communities, and among women and youth.
Her fitness journey is backed by over 35 years of hands-on fitness training experience and a long list of credentials, including certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Zumba®, Medical Exercise Specialist, and multiple specialty disciplines. She’s worked with everyone from elite athletes to special needs populations, always tailoring her approach to fit the unique needs of each client.
But beyond the credentials, Dr. Latisha is a motivator. A connector. A firm believer that wellness is more than workouts — it’s the fusion of body, mind, and spirit.
When she’s not teaching, training, or speaking, you’ll find her contributing to community programs on health education, disease prevention, and life skill development. She’s a proud member of the American Psychological Association and the National Council of Negro Women, and she continues to be a trusted voice for those who want to live stronger, healthier, and more confident lives.
If you’re ready to take that next step — whether it’s your first class, your fiftieth, or a whole new fitness journey — Dr. Latisha Forster Scott is ready to meet you there.
